Chairperson’s Welcome
Dear Members, Stakeholders, Practitioners, and Industry Affiliates,
This June, the focus lies firmly on education and transformation, and it is good news, or at least a good start, all around.
Education
During the month of June, the focus lies firmly on education and transformation, and it is good news, or at least a good start, all around.
The PPA was enacted in February 2021, and we have been in constant communication with the PPRA to see the amendments in terms of education clarified and implemented.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that, under the new leadership at the PPRA, the baseline qualification standards for property practitioners, developed by the industry, and endorsed by Services SETA have been swiftly adopted.
The next steps include developing the course content material for NQF4, revamping the PDE content, developing a practical training course, and awaiting the finalisation of public comments on NQF5.
Transformation
The NPPC Transformation Committee has been formally established to respond to Chapter 4 of the PPA regarding the Transformation of the Property Sector. The Committee seeks to drive change, create opportunities for previously disadvantaged property practitioners and make a meaningful impact on transformation in the real estate sector.
The NPPC Transformation Committee assembled a diverse group of individuals who would bring their unique perspectives, skills, and experiences to the table.
